 System of Studying
Dr. Soliman Fakeeh College of Nursing and Medical
Sciences follows the semester system of studying.
Registration is done at the beginning of the academic
year. After which, studying commences and courses are
covered within a period of 15 weeks. During this time,
the student studies different sciences, concentrating on
nursing sciences, using different methods of learning;
including theoretical lectures, training classes, and
clinical training.
Admission to the Program Requirements
- The registering student must fulfill the
requirements of admission to Dr. Soliman Fakeeh
College of Nursing and Medical Sciences.
- To have received a high school diploma (Science
department) with a mark of 70% or better. The
student will be accepted according to the calculated
percentage, in addition to the assessment test – if
this system is followed in other educational
institutions.
- To pass the English proficiency test.
- To pass the personal interview that reflects the
applicant’s personality and character.
- To have a reference letter of behavior.
- To be physically healthy.
- To be completely dedicated to studying.
Study Requirements
- The time required to obtain a bachelor degree in
nursing is four years, which is equivalent to eight
semesters.
- Passing 134 credited hours is needed to get a
bachelor degree, in addition to the internship year.
- The language of studying in this program is
English.
- Credited hours are calculated as follows:
One credited theoretical hour is equal to one clock
hour; one credited clinical hour is equal to three clock
hours; and one credited laboratory hour is equal to two
clock hours. |

How to apply |
Admission Procedures
- The dates for applying and performing the
admission test are announced in the local newspaper.
- The student fills out the application form and
completes the rest of the procedures in accordance
with the time period provided for registration.
- The student will be given information on the
time and place for the proficiency test and personal
interview.
- Priority will be given to applicants depending
on application requirements, marks in high school-
specially the scientific courses -, the proficiency
test, the personal interview, and the availability
of space in the college.
Documents Required at Registration Time
- Registration form
- A copy of the high school certificate
diploma,[BSC certificate (for Bsc science holder)and
transcript.
- Four photographs of the applicant (the name of
the applicant is to be written on the back of the
photo)
- A copy of the citizenship or a valid resident
permit.
- A copy of the reference letter of behavior.
After announcing the names of the accepted
applicants, the original copy of the high school diploma
must be handed in to the college. |
